I wasn't at all depressed by it 3 weeks ago, when my YL, W5DNA, and I
drove through. We had nice chats with Dallas-area folks on the way 
down, and nice chats _and_ a 2 meter traffic net on the way back to 
Norman. That's been my experience each time we've driven through 
Dallas or Fort Worth. 

Maybe you're listening to a different 2 meters than I am?
