My father has helped me on a project to reproduce from scratch a W.W.II
military TV receiver voltage control box, the lettering for it.
Since it is difficult to have the original engraving done, Using photos of
the original panel from the manual, I recreated the labels in photoshop. I sent
the files to my dad and he created a white, water decal of the artwork, on a
special decal printer. Then I applied it over the wrinkle paint and gave it a
protective covering of clear coat. It looks good, not quite original. It would
be hard for me to reproduce characters like the bent arrow over voltage knob
in any other way. Last part of the project will be the reproduction of the
black W.W.II laminated 2"x2" navy tag
Does anybody have any from scrapped equipment?
Picture of the box will be available soon..
