Au Contrare (or however its spelt in Froggyland)
"PAN" is a takeoff on a French word. In radio talk, it
signifies an "urgent" message. This all comes from
the French insisting on influenceing one of the ITU
conferences years ago, "MAYDAY" (distress message
prefix) is a corruption of some  French word for "aid
me" (or
thereabouts) while SECURITIE (safety message) is also
a takeoff on a French word (one would guess "security"
but in my old age, I tend to forget my teachings).
   Now, lets get back to military junque.
