[Milsurplus] France to ban military collections

I think they will regret allowing so many Muslims in.

The silence of non-extremist Muslims, to all the outrageous acts commited under
the name of their religion, is deafening. Yet they go ballistic with a cartoon.
Their plan is simple: first Israel, then Europe, then America. Iran's new
Shahab missle is not to hit Israel (they can do that already) but for Europe.

This is not going to have a good ending. I, for one, intend to keep my rugged,
portable, green transceiver with the expectation that it will be a very valuable
piece of gear should the s*** hit the fan. That, and trying and wishing there
were people in Washington who knew what they were doing in regards to actual
defense of the country.

We better conquer this "politicaly correct" crap very soon, though.

Occassionally there is a bill before congress to outlaw ex-military equipment
being owned or possessed by US citizens (definitely including, usually
specifically, radio gear!!), so don't think it can't happen here. Every time it
comes up it is soundly defeated, but the way Washington works is by having bills
like this placed into larger bills and ride the coattails to passage. We have
to watch out for this! And don't think the Republicans are any different from
the Democrats; both are quite willing to strip our rights in a heartbeat. No
matter which way you lean, do not become complacent, watch these guys like a hawk.
