have just rec'd initial confirmation of this. the law
is #2005-1463 which modifies an earlier 1995 law.
It says that ANY military material-including antique
military vehicles must be turned in by Nov 2006,
(unless you've made some kind of bureaucratic
declaration...which French collectors say, given 30-20
thousand vehicles of this type, will be impossible to
acheieve!!  It also by the way would affect firearms,
sword, and communications collections.

After a quick read of the situation, it appears to be
once again a governmental shotgun approach, "forbid
everything, and you'll get the guilty" kinda thing.

This is so draconian, it surely cannot stand as it
even affects the "cutlery" industry!!!

Un article de LA VIE DE L'AUTO de février nous
apprend que le décret N°2005-1463 modifie le décret
n° 95-589 du 6 mai 1995, qui régissait jusque là la
détention de matériels militaires de collection.

Ce décret paru au JO du 23 novembre 2005, interdirait
la détention de tout matériel militaire comme les
véhicules militaire de collection par des
particuliers, et que tout matériel n'ayant pas fait
l'objet d'une déclaration en Préfecture devrait
être détruit avant novembre 2006.

Certains prétendent qu'il en est de même pour les
postes radio. Qu'en est-il exactement? si vous avez un
doute, prenez contact avec votre Préfecture car ce
texte ancien a été modifié à plusieurs reprises
pour lâ
