I disagree. IMO, the radios (and other things) are best understood in the
context of what they were USED for. All were built to solve particular problems,
and how those requirements were met is a vital part of the collecting hobby. As
to what constitutes a "Great Radio" I suspect that opinions would differ widely.
Whether it covers a ham band or not would certainly not enter into my rating
system, nor would its suitability for 'conversion'
