Good possibility.   SCR-543 sets were used at Stateside coastal artillery 
installations.   Could also have been an SCR-245.   These were on the TD for 
Stateside railroad gun installations (at least a those at San Pedro, CA).   The 
1942 special Signal Corps issue shows a 245 setup in a wooden chest mounted in a 
1/2 ton command car, but don't remember if the handles were visible in that 
installation.
