[Milsurplus] question about manpack antenna bases

I don't think so.Otherwise you'ld have a matching problem if you 
switched to the ribbon antenna and it's gooseneck adapter.

Does anyone know if there is any sort of circuitry (loading elements, 
coils, caps, etc.) inside these antenna bases? 
 
 - AB-129 (for the PRC-8 & -9 & -10) 
 - AB-591 (for the PRC-25 & -77) 
 
Both these are used with the AT-271 8 foot whip antenna.
