[Milsurplus] RAL Receiver Radiation

Having two RAL receivers in excellent operating condition, I tested then
for radiation with both connected to the same antenna. (can't get worse
than that) One receiver has the full compliment of filtering on the
audio output lines, and the other has them removed. At 23 mcs both
radiate enough to be detectable in the other set as a very weak signal.
At 14 mcs the lesser-filtered set is weakly detectable in the fully
filtered set, and the fully filtered set is undetectable. At 7 mc both
sets are undetectable. The navy rated the RAL as safe at all
frequencies, and it seems the navy knew what they were doing...
The fully filtered receiver is on a navy power supply, which has rf line
filtering, and is probably bullet-proof. The other receiver uses a HB
supply which works fine, but is noteworthy that I had to bypass the ss
rectifiers to eliminate noise in the receiver at 500 kc.
