Gang:

I just acquired a small box which I have seen only a few examples of
previously, and was wondering which aircraft the original application
(s) was (were) in? It is a NAF 68304 Beam Filter, which is, I
believe, the Navy version of the well known FL-8 filter which I am
very familiar with (who isn't?). The case on this item looks more
like it was designed to sit on someone's desk, and it is heavy, but I
can't imagine flying a desk through the ranges. Since table space
was usually scarce in aircraft, can someone point me to a URL photo
of a typical original installation of one of these? I finally have
one of my own, now that DSP works better and is more flexible
(variable frequency) for the ham application these were usually used
for.

George
