Well,I am a no-code technician and my great desire is to get the GO-9
on the air.It is a CW/modulated CW transmitter.I hope to become
proficient enough in code to do so.CW won't die,it will be only used by
a select few but I'll bet CW will outlast all of us including our
fellow eloquent list member.
And,I will be looking for an executor for my collection some day...

Will,
I commend you for that true statement of facts.
I feel you should submit that to QST, CQ and ER.
I am 74 and I agree 100% with your statement.
What is the FCC saying ?? Opening up more spectrum to SSB to relieve
congestion so the old farts can say the same thing week after week.
I love to rag chew but it is hard to do anymore since it is 59, ta da,
as you say go to Dr., go to funeral, or a WX from bum F*** wherever and
worse yet a stupid Contest. I Luv DX but it is tough with all of the
contests. I bet that CW will be HISTORY long before 20 years as you
will have all of their keys and bugs in your collection.
