I use Gorilla Glue for this. You can get it at any
hardware store. It expands as it dries so don't apply
too much! Use a toothpick or thin nail to force a drop
in between the 2 surfaces at 5 or 6 points around the
circumference of the glass. Let dry overnight. Usually
I am fixing loose meter glass and I always leave the
meter sit glass-side down overnight. The next day, the
glue may have expanded onto the glass but you can just
use a single-edge razor blade to cut away the excess.
This stuff has completely and easily solved all my
meter and dial glass adhesive problems. It seems to
work on doggone near anything too so you will find
plenty of other uses for it. Try it--you'll like it.
