This is getting further OT but I once wrote an April article for "The Canadian Amateur", entitled, "Stump Antennas". Very tongue in cheek. 

At a subsequent flea market an ardent reader asked me quite seriously if I was still using it and walked away shaking his head, then turned around and came back and asked for the dimensions.
