I had a control like that but I believe it was AN/ARC-5.Had a beat but
working R-28 too and sold both for a song and dance at MRCG years ago.
How I now weep!

I lack only the correct receiver, and they may be extinct;
I've hunted for years and never heard of one.
They, like the transmitters, were reworked into AN/ARC-5 sets (R-28).
If you have an R-28 that still has the "old" (O-101) frequency selector
assembly, then you almost certainly have a reworked BC-942
and I covet it ;-).
