[Milsurplus] BC-189 production?

Every bit I have ever seen has been 1936, or 1940 (for dynamotors). I
would guess somewhere between 500 and 2000 were made. Most were
probably junked early in the surplus market, as nobody wanted them. I
think I recall seing adverts with them from the 1950s.
