Christmas display light strings cost something like $3
for a display with 50 or 100 lamps. Actually, i think i have in my closet
a string i found in the garbage at these apartments, with several lamps
missing. Enuff to assemble a few 12 volt strings. This is the fun way.
Just occurred to me this would be a good Boy Scout project. Ohms
law, and all that. I was also thinking i could go down to 3 or 6 volt strings
and attach some to my winter jackets. That would fit in better in the big city
than here, i suspect. Oh well, i'm severely off topic already, so this: a score
of years back i worked in a call center in Seattle. One of my co-workers had
a beautiful (handlebar? style ) long moustache that have bested Salvador
Dali or any 17th century nobility. At Christmas season he would apply extra
wax to the moustache and hang a small Christmas tree ornament from each
end. Ah, big city diversity. -Hue
