There weren't too many lurkers. Altho smice1 got his bid in, in the last
10 seconds - not bad! - he was the only bidder. If you look up his buys,
it looks like one of those self-appointed A-Z museums. He has bought some
amazing junk, like a BC-640 transmitter, and that had to go to Italy! Now he
can use the BC-189 and the RBM power supply, no doubt, with his BC-640;
a meaningful display somewhere in Italy.
BTW, here's an opportunity for some creative person. This idea came to me
from reading the personals in the local Little Nickel advertiser. So many of the
ads are really poorly written, with unimportant phrases and turnoff words. On
Ebay we have picture hosting services and packing-shipping services: how about
a listing-writing service, "guaranteed" to write an ad that really pulls the bids.
( Just try and collect on the guarantee; that would be like trying to actually contact
Ebay about a problem. ) Service client can select the BS factor, from mild to
profuse. "Medium" is recommended, except for uncommon items, when stronger
enhancement is called for.
