Howdy Hue!
There's a LOT of us in need on that one.
I've got a VERY nice BC-1306 that somebody ripped the crash bars off
of. I haven't done much with the radio yet (it's about number 8 in
line on surplus rig projects; a BC-375 is currently in front of the
que), but I've been keeping my eyes open for a junker rig at hamfests
to grab a set of bars off of... not to mention scarfing up those
beautiful, hard to get tubes as spares! :o)
When I was a teenager, I suppose the crash bars might have been an
aesthetic offense in the design. Now, coming at it from the perspective
of historical accuracy and "running the rig the way Uncle Sam intended",
the crash bars are needed.
