folks -

The Oregon Military Vehicle Collectors Club is putting on their
yearly vehicle show & campout at Fort Stevens Oregon this weekend,
August 10-13. As usual, the Northwest Military Radio Enthusiasts group
will tag along.

Fort Stevens is a coastal defense facility at the mouth of the
Columbia River - it was active from Civil Wars times until just after WWII.

We will be on the air from Thursday evening 'til Sunday midday on the
usual Armyradios frequencies of 3996 USB & 7296 USB. I will make an
effort to be on the air every three hours, at 1200 & 1500 & 1800 each
day, plus we will be guarding either one or both sideband frequencies
throughout the day. The GRC-9s will be on the usual AM frequencies of
3870 & 3880 & 7290.

We will also run clatternet from the Fort on Saturday morning 0930 on
7087 USB using standard military 850 shift RTTY.

We'll have an MRC-83 (TRC-75 in an M38A1) on the air, as well as
numerous GRC-9s & SSB manpacks plus various & sundry radios on 51.0 MCs.

   Join us if you can.
