[Milsurplus] CB ships - for Navy theater communications

Ran into a fella from CB-13 that navigated off Phillipines in '45.
Was @ Dayton Hamfest

He sed CB-13 one of several in Pacific, & a couple in Atlantic.

CB-13 was full of RBGs & it was his job to keep 'em perky. As a
refresher, RBG was HQ-120 clone.

Rewind.  No one's ventured where RAS HRO-like things went & it was my
bet it was on the CB ships.  RBG installs were similarly elusive 'til
this guy plopped outa nowhere.

My guess now that RBGs replaced RASs.  And the CB ships.  Pretty
secret vessels?  Any confirmation?
