A friend of mine who finds all kinds of wierd stuff and knows I like it just 
dropped a book on me.
"As We Lived It". history of the U.S.S. Suwannee, CVE 276, an oil tanker 
that was converted into an aircraft carrier. It was one of 4. I mention this 
because someone out there might just have been associated with it.
