[Milsurplus] BC-611 vibrator supply?

This whole thing looked hokey to me, which is why I brought it up. I also noticed the spurious connector in the bottom compartment, Robert, but knew not what to make of it. Sorry for the confusion about the "vibrator" not being visible, I just copied the text, which is misleading without the picture.  Thanx, Marty for posting the photo. I looked in the magazine again, and there does not appear to be an "Official U. S. xxx Photo" on the page as usually appears, but I doubt that ARRL went to Monmouth and took and published unauthorized photos.  Is there any pssibility this is the 12V mod for A/C or glider use or some other exotic application?
