The MAB supply runs off a small 6-volt lead-acid battery.  The vibrator 
is smaller in diameter than a D-cell and just a little longer.  It's a 
synchronous unit, so you wouldn't need a rectifier.  It's a Radiart Type 
VR-2.  I'm not sure that four old fashioned D-cells  (BA-30) would run 
this mess for very long.
