If the BC-375 transmitters were in working condition what would you use
them for? maybe you can operate them on the ground on static displays
but the 28 volt current requirements for that stuff is huge so it can't
be run from the ships batteries for long and don't think they like to
operate the APU during shows. If the engines are running I would assume
that you are taxiing or flying with the cost of fuel and maintenance
don't see anyone cranking up a inboard just to run the radio, and
finally if in flight can you imagine what havoc a BC-375 will do to your
GPS and VOR? I am all for having everything one hundred percent accurate
on a museum ship but on a working aircraft do not know how practical
that is. Although have to admit that they would look better with cables
hooked to the radios.
