Marty,

That's not quite how I'd describe an MT-652/GR.  I don't have any left but 
have had several.  The ones I had consisted of a red/brown phenolic cylinder 
with a metal tube coming out of one end and a male Dzus stud out the other.  
Coming out of the side of the phenolic was a short length of (I think) RG-58/U 
terminated in UG-88/U.  The upper cylinder (thick wall) was threaded internally 
to take MS-117, MS-117, AB-21 or AB-22.  The Dzus stud went through the hole in 
the top lip of the radio front panel and snapped onto the Dzus wire below it. 
 The UG-88 went to the antenna post on the radio.  The whole thing was 4" to 
5" long.  The diameter of the phenolic was somewhere around 5/8" as best I can 
recall.
