But not very many.  It wasn't in anyones best interest to do so wholesale.  
So most stuff stayed as it was for years afterwards.  There are probably a few 
others but the only retroactive nomenclature change (meaning that existing 
equipment got new nameplates) that comes to mind is ATC to AN/ART-13.  There are 
a few  other sets where sloppy hackers and conversion handbook writers refer 
to everything under one nomenclature.  AN/ARC-5 is the most familiar example.  
Then you see posts here and elsewhere wondering why the transmitter they have 
won't plug into the rack they have, or work with the modulator they have or 
other foolishness.  But hey, it's all arc5 ain't it.
