Mike et. al.

I worked for a Korea-era RB45 pilot & ham. One Tommy Cowan who's
vanished, dang it.

Put on ur folklore shoes now. He sed the B45 almost didn't fly.
Getting it to rotate @ 140mph took 2 miles of runway @ sea level & 80-F.
With JATO.

God save you if the parachute failed on landing. Brakes were only
good for 30mph stop.

My reason was for re-connect attempt was to see if RS-6 packages were
stuck somewhere in the critter. One report fm CO Springs indicates it.

One more neat folklore story is that it was believed that B45s extinct
thru '95. Then a IR satellite foto of a kudzu patch @ Eglin showed
two overgrown suspects in the toolies. Investigation showed B45s.
They were trucked to Warner Robbins & sent their separate ways.

Could these be the examples at Carlsbad & Wright-Pat?

This tale sorta like salvage yarn of Colossus of Rhodes.

Which of course was equipped with a RS-6 to keep tabs on phoenicians.

  Marty
