Put the "Tune" switch on the front in Tune.  Keep it there until
you learn more about that transmitter.  That switch cuts a big
resistor into the primary of the HV transformer, and reduces
the HV for tuning.  Look for the resistor.  It's 4 " long ceramic
that screws into a light socket.  It's really a heating element
from a 1930 space heater.    You said the meter went up
when the Filiment voltage was adjusted.  What meter?
