Thanks, youse guys, for all the info, support,  and helpful suggestions. I 
am going to examine the transmitter very carefully tomorrow to see if it 
is really all there. Tubes and things.

Now if I can only figure out some way to get it into the basement without 
my wife seeing it.

Then I have to find a manual for it.

Sigh...as if I haven't enough projects. But if this comes to fruition, it will 
be one of only two transmitter projects I have "on the bench" (so to 
speak.)
