The only headache with the SRT series was the 76 tube synthesizer 
(exciter).  Always kept an OS-8 hooked up to them to make sure all the 
lisajous pattern were in sync.  When they were not, the rig transmitted 
noise and spurious junk!

I figured the "simpler" AFC controlled exciter of the WRT was an 
improvement.  (?) :-)
