Greeks ran that fleet of LSTs of which #325 was a member. Interesting
coincidence.
#325 apparrently ran huge Marconi radar to maybe catch low-flying
over-Med bogies & sent PPI, etc. data back to "contractor's home" via
RTTY. That stuff nr stern & mongo HF near bow... a USN 'loaner.' God
knows bow-install's use except, perhaps, s/w propaganda or "numbers."
Set-up @ stern had dual 35' phased verticals to null HF thing & keep
it's apparrent R-1051 RTTY rxs ACK/NAK-ing when bow hf humping away.
Maybe WRR-2s used ashore @ "contractor's home" Contractor being DIA, CIA??
Bet satellites obseleted Marconi/RTTY on LSTs in 70s. But Greeks ran
'em thru early 90s for, perhaps, that "mongo hf near bow."
