Eveready is now (absorbed into?) Energizer; the data sheet for the 417
LaClanche (Zn/MnO2) stack is at < http://data.energizer.com/PDFs/417.pdf
>, measuring about 24x32x38mm, ten 132s in series, and the listed
replacement is a 411; go to < www.energizer.com >, click [Technical
Data] at the top right, enter [417] and [Go]. The 411 is 15x25x36mm,
made of ten 112s (neither individual cell, 112 nor 132, is listed
separately.)

An adapter would be needed; a plastic or wood (or even hot melt glue!)
block with a strap over one end might do in a pinch.

Once a while back, curiosity compelled me to open a standard 9V
Zn/MnO2/C stack; it was a stack, of six thin rectangular cells. Later,
I found they were making Duracell 9Vs with a six-pack of little AAAA
cylindrical alkalines (which the XYL's tablet-pen used.) The technology
changes. We can hope it makes it more useful...

The 411 is $9.58 at Allied (but not Digi-Key) and undoubtedly, other
outlets.

All else aside, RF to the other fellow's antenna is what counts.
