OK. Reference NAVSHIPS 900,401, 22 January 1946. There were 8 sets, TCM, TCN,
TCU, TCM-1, TCN-1, TCU-1, TCM-2 and TCU-2. Although G.E. Co. changed their
model numbers on the individual components, the Navy did not change the type
numbers nor rev them up (i.e., no suffix -A, etc.). Looking through the first few
pages of the manual, the only differences that I see are that the Rectifiers
supplied on the later contracts were rated for 50-62 CPS @ 115 VAC imput and
the basic were only 60 CPS. So otherwise, one must assume that the suffix
numbers (blank, -1 and -2) are just the Navy's standard schitck. Every new contract
gets a new model number.

Ignoring suffix numbers, all three sets include Rectifier CG-20122 and
Control Unit CG-23241. TCM includes H.F. Transmitter (2-18 MC) CG-52206. TCU
includes I.F. Transmitter (300-2000 KC) CG-52205. TCN includes both transmitters,
plus power transfer switch CG-24094 and a microphone and a chest set. So as with
some other Navy sets (ATC and TCZ come to mind), the same component might have
nameplate data saying that it belonged to any one of several different sets.

As far as comments on pricing go, I don't have one to sell and I'm not
looking to buy one and I don't think I've seen one sell in more than 40 years other
than the two HF transmitters reported as being or having been on eBay this
week and last week. But based on other relatively similar transmitters, I guess
$100-$400 would be a fair range for either transmitter depending upon condition
and how much someone wanted it. And pretty much the same range for the
Rectifier. But it all depends upon what the market will bear. If someone wants one
badly enough to pay $800 for it, go ahead on brother. No worse than paying
$10.00 for a hamburger and fries and Coke. Why I can remember when those were only
... :-)

I will mention, as was typical of Navy shipboard transmitters other than the
TCS and TCZ, that the AM power capability is only a small fraction of the CW
capability (30 versus 125).
