>I am looking for a dial for my arc 5 receiver. It is 500 khz to 1500 khz

I have a NOS R-24/ARC-5 with C-24/ARC-5 local control panel, and a not so
new BC-946-B with FT-260 local control panel that needs some work and some
reversal of heater wiring mods. However, I don't have any surplus dials.

These dials are not all the same, so which one to use depends on how close
to original you ar trying to restore your unit.

In the common "command set" systems, the ARA CBY-46145 was the only BC-band
model calibrated in kc rather than MC. The CBY-46145 scale started at 520
kc, and the BC-946-B and R-24/ARC-5 dial started at .52 MC.

Similarly, the dials of the ARA CBY-46129 and SCR-274-N BC-453 beacon band
units were calibrated in KC, while the R-23, -23A, and -148/ARC-5 units were
calibrated in MC.

The dials on some of my SCR-274-N units appear to be made of some type of
plastic, while the ARA and AN/ARC-5 units are all obviously metal.

Just small details that only a collector/hobbyist could care about.
