There is a book on the TD Battalions that came out earlier this year. Later
photos from Sicily and Western Europe (if the M3 had an antenna) mostly show
MP-48 or MP-48-A and three mast sections, typical of SCR-610 installation. But
one of a 601st TD Battalion ME at Kasserine Pass (or general area) looks more
like an MP-37 and taller (five-section) whip. Photo was taken from a
distance of at least several hundred feet and isn't too clear, either. But under
moderate magnification, I can't make out any of the hallmarks of the MP-48-(*).
