Thanks for your work on that, Ken.
I googled APA-92 and came up with some real interesting leads.
What i first took to be a ship name, "Baker", is in different paint
than the "APA-92" and i take "Baker" to be a person's name, likely
someone who claimed or owned the set along the way.
Besides the freq and identifier invasion planning i already posted,
http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USN/rep/Leyte/OpPlan/13-44-N.html
This site
http://www.america-at-war.net/wwii1944.html
lists for 1944 events:
"November 17 - The attack transport USS Alpine (APA-92) is damage by a suicide plane in the Leyte
area. "
Always nice to know where your radio has been, in its colorful life.
BTW, the TBX shipping trunk weight sez "82 lbs." Is this loaded or unloaded, i.e. trunk only?
