Two day ago when this situation started I sent a email to Michael
Leister, the director of the museum at Dover. At that time I ask if he
can have someone confirm that their is indeed a BC-312 located in the
KC-97 they have.
This is his reply:

Actually we love this sort of conundrum, I'll ask someone to check it
as
soon as we can. I'll also have them check our reference material and
see
what we can find in the Technical Orders. If it is incorrect we will
remedy the situation.

I have an answer--the radio in the aircraft does not have an ID plate
attached but it does have a 110 power cord attached. It turns out the
crew chief of the restoration put it in the rack to fill a hole. It is
supposed to be a BC-348. We don't currently have a spare BC-348

Would your group be interested in looking for other missing
communication equipment for our aircraft restoration projects?

Thanks for the tip.

Mike
