Agreed, with a slight variation. I like my vintage gear to work, so am VERY careful when powering it to reform the capacitors, etc. I treat it like an old car, and crank it up once or twice a year. That is enough to keep it operational, but does not put enough wear on it to significantly hasten its descent to junk status.
