Exactly. A capacitor antenna. Not a loop antenna of any kind. Despite
what the US Army Communicator magazine article says.
I did receive an answer from Arthur Bauer in NL  about this subject.
He has a good size collection of Wehrmacht gear and has written about
it.  His replies also ixnays the Wehrmacht-Heer NVIS theory.  I will 
eventually post his reply here, but i can't find it right now and have
other priorities.

This is a good lead. This would be good for looking at those aircraft antenna
or unusual folded hamband antenna ideas. -Hue Miller
