[Milsurplus] When did they start Date Coding Parts?

Based on all the transistors I see here at FAA's
Logistic Center (depot overhaul facility) the first
two nuimbers are probably the year and the last
two are probably the week of that year.

What is the oldest part you have with a clear date code?
