[Milsurplus] Small Tube Shield

Anyone recognize this part as belonging to something?:

There is a spring inside and one can imagine that this shield would slip 
over a round subminiature vacuum tube with the lead end out the tapered 
end of the shield.

Evidently Vietnam era stuff.
