electric energy; not to mention the added losses in getting electricity
from 
the power plant to the battery charger, which also results in more nasties 
from the power generating station. But it's politically correct.  ACK!!!<

Not to mention that if we are going to have all those batteries in all
those cars & trucks, I bet there will have to be a LOT more metal mining &
refining done somewhere & eventually a LOT of recycling of same. Those can
both be messy jobs for the environment.
