If that gear-jammin' Collins is loaded into a 50 ohm resistive load, there's
just 70V there @ 100W out.  Uhhhh, no sparks.

Bob Wilder was talkin' a short, non-resonant antenna in a middle-aged 
DC3... tho might be different in an "old C-47."  Doubt it.
