I have one of those later manuals for the TCS-14.

 Instruction Book for Model TCS-14
U.S. Navy Department, Bureau of Ships
By Air King Products Co., Inc.
Contact Nxsr-38314
Contract Dated Sept. 23, 1943

On page 2 ... The band width is 8 kc at 2x down and 55 kc at 10,000 x down.
These band widths include both sides of the resonance curve which is standard
practice.

So, different Manufacturers were allowed different specifications, or did
they just need to meet some minimum values?

I wonder if the Stewart Warner TCS-8 Receiver I have has different bandwidth?
Also, Model TCS-9 was listed for the MB-NAVY-MZ-1 radio jeep. What was it's
bandwidth?

Now that I look at my TCS equipment, I see Collins for the TCS-5 and TCS-12,
Stewart Warner for the TCS-8 and Air King for the TCS-14. Were other
manufacturers listed for the other models?

Regards,
Mark Tombleson
