Collecting in this hobby can be quite fun and rewarding. The search for that
ever harder piece to finish a set. There reaches a point after many years of
looking that the search may not bring any hope. A decision has to be made what
to do.
My belief is that when collecting something that is rare, it's completeness
and true to form to the date of the set, is important for it's presentation,
preservation and history. With all of this, it also must function as intended.
My interests is W.W.II military television which covers history from both the
television side and the military ordnance side. When I reproduce an item, I
want it to be exact as possible, with hints that is a reproduction.
One of the last pieces I need to finish off this set, is a small voltage
regulator box. All the parts for it are easy to find. Here is the hard part.
I need to have a set of Louvers punched into a piece of sheet metal, that I
can bend into the correct shape of a box. Does anyone know of a place that can
do this kind of metal work, on a one of basis?
Maurice.
