I agree.

You probably cannot operate the radios on the Maritime bands but you
could operate them on the Amateur bands or at least receive CW and Shortwave
broadcasts with them.

You may be able to operate the radar. I don't know if the WW2 sets operate
in the present day radar bands or meet the emissions standards but having an operating display would be a bonus.

I don't think that they would object, but they would need volunteers for the renovation and operation of the electronic equipment. I'm interested but
I'm on the wrong coast!

Having a dynamic display for WW2 equiprment would also show the technology of the day and give visitor an appreciation of the role and art form of the  radio operator.

I, for one, to operate the equipment I have and would rather see it be put to productive use that sitting in my basement (My XYL would agree).
