Probably more than you realize, but maybe not as strongly as you. I think
a lot of people go for the Bendix DF stuff. Not so much the ILS equipment.

This did indeed happen. The AN/APS-10, a small, late war GE radar, was
mostly rejected because the pilots objected to them - they wanted fuel!
Oddly, however, postwar there was a need for just such a radar, and the
AN/APS-10 was born again (one of the very few WW2 aircraft radars to be
produced after the war).
