I don't think so.  Or at least wasn't in general the case with combatants 
postwar.  USS Valley Forge (CV-45, CVS-45, LPH-8) carried the same voice call 
sign (Bearcat) at least from the Korean War until decommissioned in 1969.

If any communications logs for LST-325 have survived anywhere, the voice call 
sign might be entered on them.
