Here is a perfect example of my comment a few days ago on the topic of the Freya
console. The restorers  care enough to make sure the engines work on the boat,
but when it comes to the radios, they just have to LOOK good. Unfortunately, the
same philosophy applies to vintage airplanes. It's a real pity, because the
electronics were a vital part of the platform.
