Heh...I left that as an exercise for the reader... :-P However, I
know for a fact that Breck Smith K4CHE also does a wonderful job in that
regard (when he's not flying...)
Any of the aircraft "bays" on the web page can be constructed using a
chop saw, a variable speed drill/bits, a 6-32 tap, WD-40 or kerosene,
and some tin snips. When I return from TDY I'll try to put some of the
dimentia, er...dimensions on the web page for those who wish to create
the same environment. It pretty closely replicates the structural
elements used in WWII patrol, ferret, and large combat aircraft - at
least dimensionally. You can get Home Despot or Lowes to presaw the
plywood in the correct size for the shelves, and if desired you can
dispense with the aluminum cladding that I use to provide an optimum
ground environment and just varnish the shelves, as many of them
actually were in WWII. See the /Flak Bait/ radio position photo in some
of the NASM books for a beautifully varnished fold-down radio ops shelf
if you don't believe me.
